The Indian Army Northern Command is the most active command of the army. It heroically defends the country from two external adversaries simultaneously while also dealing with an insurgency in some parts. As if these challenges were not enough, the command operates in one of the most inhospitable combat zones in the world.
Our task was to bring the stories of the command to the people.

As we started working on the Social Media of the command, we realised there is a disconnect between the public and the deeply personal, courageous stories of Indian Army heroes. Acts of selflessness and valour sometimes get buried under formal citations or occasional headlines. The younger audience, especially, lacks a compelling, visual, and emotionally resonant way to engage with these legacies.
How do we bring these heroes—and their honour—into the hearts and feeds of the nation?

01
Tangio produced 5 short films (4 battles + 1 promo) under the Kargil Diaries banner.
Using archival footage, real photographs, and scenes from older Army material, we recreated pivotal battles like the Battle of the Tiger Hill and the battle of Pt 4810.
We used the Sound design for recreating battlefield intensity.
High end graphics and maps that visualised movements and tactics.
02
The project encompassed the creation of 13 films that visually narrate the pivotal battles fought during India’s wars of 1948, 1962, and 1965. Some of the key films are the battle of khalubar and the battle of Rezang-la. These films showcased the valor, strategic importance, and historical significance of key military operations, bringing to life the experiences of soldiers and the resilience of the Indian Army during these crucial periods.
03
The command runs a number training facilities for both new recruits and trained soldiers freshly posted in the command. While the former impart the basic military training, the latter provide a refresher course including the latest insights about the adversaries and the terrain.
Tangio got a chance to shoot in some of these establishments and produce films on:

Six documentaries were created covering the working of the entire Northern Command as well some of the regiments like the Naga Regiment, and the Laddakh Scouts.
05
We designed and published over 180 custom posts to celebrate gallantry awardees—from Param Vir Chakra recipients to unit-level heroes.
Our design strategy made each post distinct yet cohesive, using:
Our content was supported by data-driven analytics—optimising timings, hashtags, and formats for maximum reach and engagement.

More than posts or films, this was a digital memorial—etched in pixels, powered by pride.
